After copying down the classroom rules on the back page of their jotters, we are going to read to the end of chapter 21. As we read, students are expected to follow along and will be asked to read a line from time to time. Failure to do so will result in lunch detention immediately following class.

After reading, students are to respond to the following:

1. Describe two events which lead the reader to agree that Stanley Yelnats has bad luck. What happened? In what way did they have a negative impact on Stanley? (two paragraphs, minimum 5 sentences each)

2. How did Zero help Stanley while he was gone? Why did he do this? (one paragraph, minimum 5 sentences)

Questions are to be answered in full sentences. They will be due in class on Tuesday.
